why should students blog?

i think that students should be able to blog because it gives them a chance to talk to other students from all around the world, it gives students confidence in heaps of aspects. it allows us to keep in touch with friends at school and out of school. the all round experience is great! also it is the only blogging site we are allowed on at school! (and its pretty cool).

i think that students should be able to have internet blogs because whilst using the internet blogs they are also using the latest technology and this could be a learning curve that some students dont get the chance to have the exsperience of.

(13-6-08) video confrencing

this morning a heap of students from hawkesdale spoke to a few students from america. we spoke to them through skype video calling. we showed them things like a bird that hannah t brought in, vegimite that they made me eat! (yuck!) webkins, a koala teddy holding an australian flag netball, australian rules football, and plenty more. they showed us their school, a baseball cap, a few of the girls done dance lessons and cheerleading, so they showed us tap dancing and cheerleading.

i loved talking to people from other places of the world! it is heaps of fun and i would love to do it again! xx

My Favourite Holidays!

My favourite holidays would have to be Christmas, we have 5 weeks holiday. on Christmas we have all of our family over, some of the traditions would be roast lunch or tea (pork, lamb, beef, turkey, seafood), or otherwise a barbeque. Sometimes my family goes camping and that is always heaps of fun.

I think that one other thing that is great about Christmas holidays is going shopping with friends and going to stay over the night at their place!!  : )

!!Tasmania Trip!!

on 26th untill the 31st of may 42 students from year 9 and 10 went to tazmania. On the first night we stayed on the spirit of tasmania and we also stayed on it on the way home.

when we where in tasmania we stayed in a hotel near hobart, we had rooms of three.

in tasmania we done heaps of activities like going to port arthur, mini golf, movies, shopping, a zoo, cadbury factory, cradle mountain, bowling, richmond, and a heap more…
 

Tazmania Camp!

next week, on 26 - 31 of may, a group of students from year 9 and 10 are going to tazmania. we all look forward to the trip very much.

we are sailing across and back on a bug boat called the spirit of tazmania, we get to do activities like port arthur, movies, mini golf, and much much more!

work experience!

Last week, 12-16 of may, year 10n had their first round of work experience, i done my work experience at a primary school. i enjoyed the week but i had to do heaps of boring jobs.. i didnt really get to work with any kids but i didnt mind. i probably wouldnt reccommend this placment unless you where really interested in having a future in teaching.
